I did it!
Me being up far too late to be blogging but doing it anyway, I promised I'd write what I did!
Well committing to what I would do worked super well! I actually did the whole paper under timed condiitons, and it was pretty easy. I got an estimated 66% but this could be with a biased marking agent (I won’t know), it feels about right for how well I did. Tomorrow I have a practice paper 3 which is twice as long and therefore potentially a liiiiitle bit more abmitious but I have hope!
Some other parts of today that were fun:
- I had breakfast at the Permit Room with a friend. He and I spoke more about our ambitious and what we want to work on.
- Then I had lunch with my seemingly dedicated study buddy
- Then I had help from Trevour, Sidney’s head gardener on my smelly dying plant, it seems quite apparent it was being overwatered.
- We had matcha, worked in the MML library and almost got our stuff locked in at 5. (it was at this point I got distracted, and ended up debugging this website instead of revising! - damn it multitasking!)
- In the evening I showed my friend visiting Cambridge around Caius college and Jesus college, and I got the priviledge of seeing my own room with the same fresh eyes feeling I get when I see other colleges. It really is a magical experience to get to live with such wonderful people in such a wonderful place at Cambridge and my frustrations with the place, especially about it’s inability to do more than observe the world can be overlooked occasionally just to have a healthy bit of gratitude.
Yep tomorrow I want to do the following in their order: Do the Paper 3 from 2025 in exam conditions, yep, all 3 hours, even if i feel so tired I sleep that’s ok, as long as it’s in exam conditions. (probabbly 4 hours given ET and so on. Plus an extra hour for marking). If I have any extra productivity energy after that it’d be nice to make some postcards for a couple of people. Maybe write names that come to mind whilst you do the exam as motivation. Then after that get started on the inventory project, where you make a list of all the utilites you own, that other’s might beenfit from.
Put in the photos you took today Maybe put in the docx from you work. Put in the video of me workign if we can.
HASHTAG How do I feel about this blog? Well it’s clearly nothing more than a journal and todo list. But it’s an hour past bedtime so we must concede. I would have liked to describe more how I felt walking around Cambridge, maybe some of the discussion about how AM pointed out he’d never felt as emoutional about modern designs as he did with the stuff he saa in Jesus College or Caius. Maybe some of how I feel about that? Some of my optimism of what is to come and how we need to really deeply imagine the journey from then to now to feel it because it’s so far above the ground we see the ground as reference, similar to how from a plane we so often loose the fear of heights.
Today itself I would have also liked to marked the other two questions.
I think regarding the blog I’d rather have it as a page open at various parts of the day, and frankly I feel like I spent far too long fettling my website in less productive ways when I could have just been writing. Anyway. Tomorrow’s a new day!
