C-Sunday
Watching the student-life tradition from a slight distance, then getting socialising-sniped late at night.
Today was C-Sunday — a Cambridge tradition where people get absolutely ____ed — and the most interesting part was walking around Jesus Green and feeling like I was watching people live the “student life”.
Generally, when a bit less stressed, I can see myself enjoying a day out with friends in a summery field, and I liked the nostalgic smells of summer festivals. But I also liked that this wasn’t by any means my only source of fun. I think that was nice too.
On the day I kind of spoke about how stupid it was, but this might have been to motivate me to work more than it was anything else.
Then I worked and accidentally got socialising-sniped — can we make up words here? — until half past midnight because a good handful of my favourite people were all in one room talking. It’s always nice to think about how lucky I am that I can catch up with people in this way. I don’t know how many people can. I do fear this the most for post-Cambridge life.
