Last mentor session before exams
Revision, a final mentor session before exams, and noticing growth beyond the degree itself.
Today was again revision. There’s a bit of a boring pattern here, but there we are.
I had a session with my mentor, the last one before my exams, and I was very happy to feel like I had achieved my goal of growing in more ways than solely working through my degree. I wrote her an email last summer after results saying I wasn’t annoyed that I got the grade I did, I was annoyed that I felt second year brought me nothing else. In hindsight, it taught me the skills I needed to start third year: the slow and boring ones like system administration and becoming fluent in bash and vim.
The loneliness issue was kind of solved thanks to yesterday.
